Import Wise Statements into Tally Assistant

Wise lets you download account statements as CSV, Excel, or PDF from the web app. Freelancers use it to hold and convert multiple currencies.

International freelancers who get paid in foreign currencies and need multi-currency records without manual conversion.

Export your Wise file

  1. 1Sign in to Wise and open the balance you want to export.
  2. 2Choose the statement or export option and pick CSV or Excel as the format.
  3. 3Download the file. Multi-currency balances each export in their own currency, which Tally Assistant handles per file.

What happens after upload

  • Each Wise balance exports in its own currency, and every transaction keeps its original currency in Tally Assistant.
  • Daily exchange rates from the Frankfurter API convert everything to your base currency for reporting.
  • Mixed-currency CSVs are detected symbol by symbol, not file by file.

What to watch out for

  • If you hold several balances, export each one separately and import them as separate files.
  • Wise conversion fees appear as separate transactions. They import like any other row.

Questions

How do I handle multi-currency Wise imports?

Export each balance as its own CSV and import them one by one. Tally Assistant keeps every transaction in its original currency and converts to your base currency with daily rates, so your reports show a single bottom line.
