Export your PayPal file

  1. 1Sign in to PayPal and open the Activity page.
  2. 2Use the report or download option and choose the CSV format and period.

What happens after upload

  • PayPal payouts, fees, and refunds each import as their own transaction with accurate signs.
  • Payment screenshot receipts are also readable directly from a photo via the receipt scanner.
  • Invoices paid through PayPal update to PAID automatically, with a linked income transaction created.

What to watch out for

  • PayPal CSV exports can include fee rows separate from the gross amount. Both rows import, so your net matches PayPal's own records.
  • Currency conversions inside PayPal are recorded as separate rows, keeping your base-currency totals accurate.
