Import Monzo Statements into Tally Assistant

Monzo lets you download account transactions as CSV or PDF from the app. Statements cover the period you select.

Export your Monzo file

  1. 1Open the Monzo app and go to the statement or export section for your account.
  2. 2Choose the period and the CSV format.
  3. 3Download the file and upload it to Tally Assistant as-is.

What happens after upload

  • Transactions import with merchant, date, and amount, categorized for UK self-assessment friendly reporting.
  • Monzo pots and transfers import as normal transactions; you can recategorize anything that is not income or expense.
  • Exports are kept attached to your records.

What to watch out for

  • Internal transfers between your own accounts appear as transactions. Mark them as transfers so they do not distort income and expense totals.
